Dawson Falls

Dawson Falls

Dawson Falls, also known as Te Rere o Noke, is an 18-meter waterfall, the most popular one at Mt Egmont National Park due to an easy accessibility and its beauty.

The centerpiece of Egmont National Park is Mount Tarnaki.

The funny thing about this classically-shaped volcano was that it actually doubled as the iconic Japanese volcano Mt Fuji in the Tom Cruise movie The Last Samurai.

Shine Falls

Shine Falls

Hawke's Bay's most spectacular waterfall, the 58-metre Shine Falls is located on the Boundary Stream. The walk to the waterfall goes through the mixed lowland forest including kanuka, kawakawa, kowhai and titoki.

Kitekite Falls

Kitekite Falls

Kitekite Falls, also known as Kitakita Falls, is located in the western part of Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, near the famous Piha Beach. This spectacular 40-meters multi-step waterfall is reached after a more or less easy 30 minutes’ walk.

Huka Falls

Huka Falls

11m high, extremely powerful, turquoise-color, Huka Falls is located on the Waikato River, just in 10 minutes’ drive from Taupo. The waterfall is one of the most visited natural attractions in New Zealand, probably due to the water flow of 300,000 liters per second (79252 gallons per second).
